Pillar Project
The owners of Crossroads Deli, Miles and Tracy Anderson, had always envisioned that their deli would commemorate and capture Midland's history, while supporting the local economy. As they began their research they realized a very unfortunate trend that they felt needed a solution. Prior to the 1930's Midland's history books recorded the people that founded this city. From 1930s-1950s, the entrepreneurs began making the history books. And after the '50s, people and business became a thing of the past and we moved into the memory of events. Crossroads Deli needs you to help re-capture Midland's history.
Our vision is to finish where the history books left off--recording lost history, highlighting and honoring those who made an impact in Midland County. Each family's/business' history will be recorded and displayed at the NEW Crossroads Deli location in Midland, MI and accessible online.
